For therapy sessions and CPD training course bookings
This page sets out what happens if you need to cancel, reschedule, or request a refund — whether for a therapy session or a CPD training place. Therapy session terms also appear in your client pack; this page is the up-to-date reference if the two ever differ.
Sessions are 50 minutes, held online. I ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
Session fees are paid in advance and are not held as a separate "credit" system — a missed session under these terms is simply charged as normal, it isn't refunded or rolled over.
Financial difficulty: If paying for a session is genuinely a barrier at any point, please tell me. I'd rather have that conversation than have money get in the way of your care.
| Notice given before course start | Refund |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more | Full refund |
| 7–13 days | 50% refund, or full transfer to a future cohort |
| Less than 7 days | No refund, but transfer to a future cohort may be offered at my discretion |
You can transfer your booking to another person (e.g. a colleague) at no charge, provided you let me know before the course starts. You can also request to move your own place to a future cohort of the same course, subject to availability — this is usually possible even where a refund wouldn't be, and I'll always try to accommodate this where I reasonably can.
If I have to cancel or postpone a course — for illness, insufficient bookings, or another reason — you'll be offered a full refund or a place on the next available cohort, whichever you prefer. I'll give as much notice as possible.
If you book a place and don't attend without prior notice, no refund is given, and certificates of attendance/CPD hours cannot be issued for sessions you didn't attend.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, normally within 10 working days.
If you remain unhappy with how a cancellation or refund request has been handled, this falls under the relevant Therapy Clients or CPD Training complaints policy.
